Amanda is a dually registered Financial Advisor and Broker at Zephyrus Financial Services. She specializes in life and long-term care insurance, making portfolio recommendations, monitoring accounts, and fund research.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Augustana University. Prior to working at Zephyrus, she worked as a substitute teacher, and for six years was the director of the largest childcare center in South Dakota. Amanda utilizes her background in education daily at Zephyrus by assisting clients with understanding their financial plans and helping them make important financial decisions.
Amanda grew up hearing that money isn’t everything, but it is something. She believes this mantra fits with what Zephyrus stands for, because while she helps clients manage their assets, the real lesson is that money itself isn’t going to make you happy. However, if you are smart about it, money can help you achieve the things that will make you happy. She passes on this lesson to her clients by building financial plans that are aligned with each client’s dreams rather than trying to chase the maximum return or outperform the market.
In addition to being passionate about financial planning, Amanda also loves music and plays multiple instruments. She enjoys attending concerts and goes to as many as she can. Amanda also enjoys reading, biking, and spending time with her nieces. She is actively involved in her church, serving on the Church Council and is a Bible study leader.
